“I’m just a person, like any other,” she said uncomfortably.

“You are a heroine, like in the stories,” said the young man.

“You are mistaken, I’m afraid. What I did is I showed up, I took a long time to assess how I might actually be of help, and then I did the bare minimum to make sure this didn’t become a disaster. Anybody would do that,” she said.

“No miss! Anybody COULD do that, but most did not do anything, or worse, became victims themselves, because THEY didn’t take that time.”
