The first thing to hit Jeff, as the cargo door opens from the bottom, is the mild pink color of the port cargo hall floor, a welcome change from the gray of the ship’s hold. The second is the smell of dust and metal.
Not just the floor, but the entire space in front of the cargo bay is a drab pink, with stripes along the walls and floor, probably visual guides to various locations. Jeff notices his stride is a bit longer on this rock than the last one.
