Minervie and Chip 56
Edna and Gungan put breakfast dishes into the kitchen. Edna called to Minervie, “Minnie, should we walk or fly?”
Gungan took the opportunity to give his opinion, “I’d rather walk, thanks.”
Edna said to Gungan, “That’s a walk through the West Wood.”
Minervie pre-empted the discussion, “We’ll fly, I’m already running late.” She opened her case, and started looking through the contents.
As she pulled out a pile of clothes, four small pyramids spilled out onto the floor.
Gungan asked, “Are those a magic tool?”
Minervie giggled, “No, those are dice. I found a Aasha board for sale. Guy didn’t know what it was… Ah, I found it.” She held a hammock sling. “Gungan, this is where you’ll sit.”
At that, she folded her clothes back away, collected the dice from the floor, and closed her suitcase back up.
Minervie and Edna both went out the door.
Flying low for Gungan’s sake was still over the tops of the trees, and this is when Gungan discovered that he was not good with heights. Eventually, they made it to the base of the mountain. Edna was going to land first to help Gungan step out of the hammock, but as soon as his feet were within a foot of the ground, Minervie just dropped the hammock. Gungan landed hard, but seemed happy to be on the ground.
