Prompt Word: Caravan
Minervie and Chip 64
Peter and Chip lined up the soldiers on Peter’s bedroom floor between boxes. “They are walking together as a caravan through the forest,” suggested Chip.
Peter put small toy cars on top of and between boxes, “Yes, and these monsters are waiting for their chance.”
They were into it, until Mindy called, “Boys! Pancakes and scrambled eggs.” The boys abandoned their toys and went to wash their hands and faces, per Mindy’s rules.
The French wizard auditor, Marc, was walking among eight of the twelve wizards he’d brought along as backup. The other four of them were with Minervie. About five minutes in, everything started feeling very tense. They could feel they were being watched by many powerful monsters, but they couldn’t tell how many or where they were. There was definitely a sinister feeling in the air, and suddenly, out of nowhere, the feeling just disappeared. The air flowed free again.
Marc leaned over, “Pierre, go back and check on the others, and find out if our suspect is up to something. Come back as soon as you have information. We’ll keep going down this trail.”
As Pierre jogged away, a tree trunk along the path snapped. Between the group and Pierre the top of a tree crashed into the path revealing a silver horned unicorn tangled in the branches, and looking just as confused as everyone else. One of the men said aloud, “How did that get into a tree?”
Barely twelve minutes later, Pierre caught back up, “Absolutely nothing to report, sir. They say she didn’t even break for a latrine.”
Marc said loud enough for all of the soldiers, “There are several talking creatures here. Intelligence perhaps? Maybe assessing if we were a threat. Still, the Unicorn in a tree is the strange.”
Meanwhile, a poorly balanced box in Peter’s room with a Matchbox van perched on it, had fallen over.
