Bowen called out, “The glow is coming from these two holes, each about the size of a mole borrow. I’m getting a closer look.”
Andi, Tanya and Kieff all looked at each-other, cringing as they hear scraping noises from where Bowen is exploring. Then there was a fast scraping noise, and then Bowen suddenly lands 10 feet out from the wall he’d been exploring. The sound of all the air escaping his body all at once was heard.
Andi ran to him, and he remained very still.
After a full minute passed, and the other two cautiously moved toward Andi, Bowen started stirring. Kieff and Andi helped him sit up, as he moaned. Eventually, he said, “Whatever that is, it pushed me away. That magic absolutely could have thrown a boulder onto poor Jake.”
Tanya spoke first, “We should probably go report this force to the charter.”
Bowen shook his head, “We’re not even supposed to be here.”
Andi stared at him, “If that lady, uh, Tess… If she let you have the key, then she can deal with what we find.”
Kieff was already gathering up their supplies, “At least we don’t need to search for a Troll.”
